Farinella Snack Bar is a compact offshoot of the popular Farinella, offering gelato along Preston Street. It’s a casual stop with good variety, and while the pistachio gelato was smooth and enjoyable, the flavour intensity could have been stronger.

Moo Shu is known for its creative Asian-inspired ice cream flavours and small-batch production. The shop is stylish and popular with locals, especially in summer months. While the waffle cone was a highlight, the flavour of the ice cream missed the mark this time.

The Merry Dairy consistently draws a crowd, and for good reason. The ice cream is rich, flavourful, and perfectly textured—creamy without being overly heavy. The homemade waffle cone adds a warm, crisp contrast that complements the cold treat beautifully.

Located in a charming corner of Hintonburg, it’s an ideal stop on a warm day. Even with the usual lineup, the service is quick and friendly. This has become my favourite spot for ice cream in the city.
