Linh Anh Vietnamese Cuisine Restaurant Overview

5051 Hwy 7 Unit 6 & 7, Unionville, ON L3R 1N3

Linh Anh Vietnamese Cuisine sits in a plaza with plenty of free parking, which makes dining here stress-free compared to other busy parts of Markham where parking can be a hassle. The convenience of pulling into a spacious lot and walking right in sets the tone for a relaxed meal.

When we visited, the restaurant was completely full, which is always a promising sign especially because of how many table they had. Even later in the evening, tables were turning over quickly, showing how popular the spot is with both locals and visitors. Despite the crowd, service was efficient, and food arrived at a steady pace.

The interior isn’t overly fancy but has a modern, comfortable layout with enough seating to accommodate both small groups and families. The energy in the room reflected the popularity of the restaurant — busy, but still welcoming.

The menu goes beyond just pho, which is what you might expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. Here, you’ll find a range of unique offerings like bone marrow and silky steamed rice rolls, which set it apart from more standard spots. That variety, combined with execution, makes Linh Anh a place worth talking about.

Would return?: Absolutely. The bone marrow and steamed rice rolls are destination-worthy.

The avocado smoothie at Linh Anh Vietnamese Cuisine was an excellent way to start the meal. It was smooth, creamy, and well-balanced, with just the right sweetness. Importantly, there were no ice chunks, which is often a problem in poorly blended smoothies. The consistency hit that sweet spot between being too thick and too watery, making it easy to sip without feeling heavy. The natural richness of the avocado shone through, making it both refreshing and indulgent.

This smoothie stood out for its bright, tropical flavour. The passionfruit was vibrant and slightly tangy, balanced with enough sweetness to keep it refreshing without being overwhelming. Like the avocado smoothie, it was blended perfectly with no ice chunks. The texture was silky, and every sip delivered that fresh passionfruit punch. It complemented the savoury dishes nicely, almost acting as a palate cleanser.

The pho here was comforting and generous. The bowl came filled with plenty of noodles and tender brisket slices. The broth was rich yet clean, full of depth without being oily. The brisket was the highlight — perfectly tender, juicy, and flavourful. Every bite of beef melted easily, pairing beautifully with the chewy noodles and fragrant broth. It felt like the textbook version of a brisket pho.

This was the surprise of the evening. The bone marrow was served generously, with large bones cut deep to expose plenty of rich, gelatinous marrow. The preparation was spot on — smooth, savoury, and decadent without being greasy. It’s rare to see this offered at a Vietnamese restaurant, and at $8, it was an absolute steal compared to other places that would easily charge double. It’s the kind of dish that feels indulgent and makes the meal feel special.

This was a hearty plate that showcased two proteins done exceptionally well. The beef short ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, with a slight char that added smokiness and depth. The chicken was equally impressive — juicy, charred just enough to bring out flavour without drying out the meat. The rice itself was fluffy and absorbed the juices from the meats, tying the dish together. It was filling, balanced, and comforting, the kind of plate that leaves you satisfied but wanting to come back for more.

Steamed Rice Rolls with Pork & Shrimp, and Grilled Pork

😋 Enjoyment: 9/10

💰 Price Paid: $19

🎯 Benchmark Price: $19

📊 EV Score: 9/10

🔁 Order Again?: Yes.

The star of the meal. The rice rolls were silky smooth, delicate yet sturdy enough to hold the filling. Inside, the pork and wood ear mushrooms provided a savoury, earthy balance that worked perfectly with the soft rice wrapper. The grilled pork on the side was another highlight — tender, juicy, and full of flavour.

A splash of fish sauce elevated the dish even further, adding the right amount of umami and saltiness. My only small critique was the oversized lettuce leaf on the plate, which felt unnecessary. Still, this dish alone is worth visiting Linh Anh for, and it’s one I’ll absolutely order again.

Final Thoughts

Linh Anh Vietnamese Cuisine sets itself apart with its combination of quality, variety, and value. While pho is the backbone of the menu, dishes like the bone marrow and steamed rice rolls make this restaurant stand out from the crowd. Add in plaza parking, friendly service, and a comfortable space, and it becomes clear why the restaurant is consistently full.

Every dish we tried had strengths, with the bone marrow and rice rolls being the highlights. The smoothies added a refreshing touch, and the rice and pho dishes showed consistency in execution. Prices were fair for the quality and portions, making it feel like strong value overall.

This is a restaurant I’d gladly revisit. In fact, I’m already looking forward to the next time I can come back to try more from their menu. Linh Anh is a place that delivers both comfort and excitement — a rare combination that makes it one of Unionville’s must-try spots for Vietnamese food.
